You got a postcard!

Are you the sender?

IF YOU’RE SENDING THE POSTCARD

Who came to mind when you read the phrase on the postcard? That special biz bestie who’s been there for you, cheering you on, inspiring you, giving you feedback, and supporting you through thick and thin.

Send them this postcard. You can mail it the traditional way. Just imagine the joy they’ll feel getting a sweet postcard from you! If you don’t have their address or it’s not the right time, don’t worry. Write the postcard as if you were sending it by mail, take pictures of both sides and send them to your friend. It’ll mean a lot.

Are you the recipient?

IF YOU’RE RECEIVING THE POSTCARD

Congrats! Your business bestie thought of you and sent you this postcard. Isn’t that lovely?
Running a business can feel lonely sometimes, but having support from someone who understands the challenges makes a big difference, doesn’t it?

This postcard is a little reminder of how impactful sharing our stories can be. Now, why not spread some love back and give a shoutout to the sender? Let’s keep the gratitude flowing!

Can I ask you a favor?

I’m excited about the idea of creating a board of postcards being sent to biz besties. Could you do me a favor? Please hold up your postcard in front of a view you like, take a picture of it, and share it with me.

You can send me the pictures via email (hello@rememancera.com) or on social media (Instagram or Linkedin).

Our stories are relevant and I believe they’re worth sharing!

Can’t wait to see all the different places these postcards end up.
Thanks a ton for helping to make this happen!

Your story is relevant and worth telling!

As a business owner, you’ve probably received advice at some point to use your story in your communication.
Maybe, like many of my clients, you’ve come to think: who cares about my story?

You may have wondered that there is no point in telling your story, that you don’t have an epic story to tell, or that what has happened in your life is not meaningful to your clients.

Let me tell you something, your story is relevant because it can inspire others. It can be the push they need to dare to take the next step.

If you strategically choose which parts of your story to tell, it can also bring great impact to your business. It’ll help you generate context, connection and contrast:

CONTEXT
It shows that you are TRUSTWORTHY.
CONNECTION
It shows that you are RELATABLE.
CONTRAST
It shows that you are UNIQUE.

So, you see the potential of using your story, but…

Are you concerned about your privacy?

I understand. For me, it’s critical too.

That’s why, as a Personal Brand Strategist, I always like to remember that personal is not the same as private.

You can cultivate a remarkable and profitable personal brand while maintaining your privacy, without oversharing or pretending to be someone you’re not.

The key to using your story strategically is not to share private details, but the lessons you took away from that experience and the emotions you felt.

So let me remind you once again: your story is relevant and worth telling.

Who is Reme Mancera?

That’s me. I’m Reme, from Malaga (Spain), and I love exploring the Personal Brand Story of solopreneurs and small business owners from all over the world.

As a Personal Brand Strategist, I work with course creators, coaches and service providers, especially those navigating a transition in their business.

I guide them in strategically choosing what moments of their story to share that highlight the benefits of what they sell. That way, they build trust with new audiences and foster genuine connections with potential clients.

I’ve created the 10 Story Connectors framework to help you share your stories strategically. It guides you to identify 10 specific moments in your journey that you can use to highlight 10 benefits and key factors of what you offer.

That way, your audience will understand why you do what you do, why you’re passionate about your work, and why you care about serving that specific group of people.

WHO CARES ABOUT MY STORY - podcast - Conversations on Personal Brand Story

I’ve launched the podcast “Who Cares About My Story?” to inspire people to convey their own stories and amplify their impact. In each episode, I chat with amazing guests who share their stories, talk about how it’s impacted their business, and spill the beans on what goes into deciding what to share. It seeks to create a space where diverse voices can share their views on what it means to them to run a business and what their own definition of success is.

I’m looking forward to learning more about you, your business and your story. Let’s connect!

Why a postcard?

This video shows some of the postcards I keep.

Each one reminds me of a person, a time or a place. Each one brings to my mind a collage of little stories.

I believe that we’re not a single story, we’re a collage of stories. It’s like a board of postcards, each revealing different sides of who we are.

Sending a postcard is more than just a note, it conveys our desire to share the experience we’ve lived in that place. It captures those unique moments. The awe of discovering something we had not seen before or had not seen it that way.

It helps us express our emotions, like little snapshots of our experiences.

That’s what we do naturally. Use stories to explain what we’ve seen, felt, and learned along the way.

When I was invited to be a speaker at the Costa Women 2024 annual conference, I knew I wanted to give something special to the attendees, hoping it could have a ripple effect.

So, since for me postcards are a vehicle to tell stories and share experiences, I decided to make a postcard with the main message of my talk: “Your story is relevant and worth telling”.

But I wanted to go a step further… I thought, why not encourage participants to have a moment of recognition with their biz besties – the ones who support, inspire, and cheer them on their business journey.

So, that’s how I came up with the idea of these postcards.
What do you think of this? I’d love to hear about your experience!
